Creative Booster

Here are a few pics of what I've been loving lately...

I've found it such a creative rush to go through my stash 'o stuff, find things that somewhat coordinate, put them in a basket along with some inks, adhesive, a stapler and a few stickles and sit down and make a tag from that basket. (I like to use a vintage flash card or postcard as a background.) This exercise is wonderful for a creative boost when you are too tired to do something major, but still need an outlet. Plus, I'm using up all those little bits of paper that I've been saving for way too long. I'm thinking about putting together a little art-box-on-the-go for those times that I'm waiting in the car. (I got this idea from a Somerset Studio's article written by Rebecca Sower.)

Seriously, I dare you to give it a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the results and may even get hooked. Luckily, the holidays are fast approaching and I'm going to need many of these little cuties because I can tell that I'm addicted. A small word of warning: you won't throw anything away ever again. So if hoarding bothers you, please disregard this post. (giggle...giggle...)
