Itty Bitty Scrap Shack May Kit

I had a blast working with Itty Bitty Scrap Shack's May Kit! It was just a fantastic kit! Here are three of my layouts. I have a mini-album coming too, but that will be revealed in the next post. Enjoy!

Journaling: Zoey always does such a beautiful job during her preschool presentations. Valentines Day was no exception.
I used the IBSS May Kit ICherry Arte pattern paper, Theresa Collins background paper, Ranger grungeboard, micron pen; MM journaling spot) and added Prima flowers and bling; Heidi Swapp ghost letters colored using Jacquard alcohol inks; buttons from Joanns and All Dressed Up; MM rubons; Ranger black soot ink

The next layout started out as a good idea and struggled. I still don't love it, but it is experimental and sometimes those types of layouts don't turn out exactly right the first time.

While hiking with everyone Zo stopped to rest on a rock. We discovered her flying away and had to capture it on film. I'm not sure what she was pretending, but it looked like fun!
From the kit: Cherry Arte pattern paper; custom circles; micron pen.
I added buttons from All Dressed Up; MM chipboard Z; acrylic paint, prima flower; Prima journaling stamp; Heidi Swapp wing stamp; Lyra pencil.

After doing the above layouts and the mini-album (to follow) I had a few scraps that I wanted to use so I created the following layout of my funny dad.

From the kit: pattern paper (black dot, black and greyish pattern and houndstooth) from Cherry Art, grungeboard, micron pen; Theresa Collins journal spot (I cut out the words on the black paper); Theresa Collins journal card (behind picture)

Added: rubons: Prima; vintage orange paper; vintage text, thread and sewing machine; American Crafts thickers; Ranger black soot ink, walnut ink; MM (Large background paper); washers from All Dressed Up

And here is a close-up showing how I used the grungeboard lock as a photo turn, my sewing and how I distressed the journaling spot so that the words were no longer bright white, but more brownish.
