We had a quiet dinner this year. Normally, we have my family over which is really fun and really crazy, but because of Q-man, this year, we were on our own. My sweet dad sent me this centerpiece so they were here in spirit. I missed them dreadfully.

Because it was just the 7 of us, I cut back extensively on dinner and dessert. For some reason, I still cooked a 21 lb turkey. Old habits die hard, I guess. We have oodles of leftovers. Oodles. I'm trying to be very creative in the turkey preparation, but thus far I've only come up with turkey sandwiches and soup.
I did splurge on the punch this year. I made my mom's old standby and added frozen strawberries for interest. It was a major hit. The kids talked about the strawberries all day. "Look Mom! I've got a strawberry in my glass!" It was quite exciting.

Between the 6 of us, we drank 2 entire bowls in 2 days. (Q doesn't count, he only drinks milk right now.) Pretty spectacular, I'd say.
