I've had this bucket shelf in various kid rooms and it never really worked for us, until I confiscated it and put it to use in my scrap room. I love it! Of course, it isn't childproof so I need to keep the door shut, but honestly, my entire room isn't childproof so really I don't have too much more to add to my worry list.
Each bucket has a different theme. Here are the themes so far.
1. Alpha stamps
2. Small stamps (frequently used)
3. Large stamps (frequently used)
4. Alcohol inks and supplies that go with them
5. Punches
6. Creative Memories cutting tools (they have the best circle cutters)
7. Buttons and other small pieces of things. This includes small embellies that don't have a strict home. This is probably the most popular bucket in the house. I used to have my buttons on my table, in jars, but I started having more jars than space so they moved. Now, I just have everything tossed together and it works for me.
8. Small pieces of fabric
9. Wet glues
10. Dry glues (I just got a tremendous shipment from 3L of Scrapbook Adhesives and I am so completely in love with them!)
As you can see, there are 2 buckets missing in the picture. I haven't decided what to put in them. So they are empty and being used by various children for various things. I'll get them back, don't you worry.
And I can't forget to mention my beautiful little model, E. She is my biggest scrapbook fan. Frequently, she can be found on my lap as I play with my papers. Sometimes this works for me and sometimes it doesn't. I predict that she'll be quite the little artist as my other babies are already.
On a completely unrelated topic, I've had a few people ask about my toilet paper tube mini-album and I'm planning on doing a mini-tutorial with step-by-step pictures for you in a future post. I realize after re-reading my directions that they only make sense to someone who has already done this project and who speaks my language. For example, "smoosh the tube and use a bone folder to make sure that the folds are neat..." Hmmm....I just can't figure out why there would be confusion? (insert giggling here) So keep checking back for that in the next weeks. I've got a couple of upcoming deadlines, but as soon as I finish those, I'll get right on that tutorial.
A few more things.
Luxe is having a special sale this week-end so if you've been drooling over my newest Luxe layout and cards, be sure to pop over and check it out.
And, don't forget the Design Academy at Bad Girls. If you haven't already been following the classes, you need to check them out. It is too late to register for the competition, but you can certainly attend class and learn all about the elements of design. I've gotten a lot out of the classes already. Moreover, I heard it from a little bird that a certain someone will be teaching in the next few weeks....hmmmm...I wonder who that could be?
Speaking of Bad Girls, T and I had a little chuckle about this the other day because when I get my packages from them they are addressed to "Bethany Kartchner, Bad Girl Designer." We were both wondering what the postman assumes is in the box. I'm pretty sure he isn't thinking that they are filled with papers and ribbon and flowers. Such a mystery.
I've got a few sneak peeks of my BG October kit scheduled to be revealed next week. I hesitate to post them because they reveal a lot of the paper in the kit. I didn't realize how much I included in the sneaky peek until I looked at them this morning. Oops! Lucky you! Check back on Monday!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I've got quite the busy bee Saturday scheduled with baby showers, birthday parties and meetings, but Sunday should be a tad quieter, I hope.

What? Isn't "smoosh" a technical term? lol I use it all the time! :)
I'm looking forward to that sneak peek of BG stuff...and I can only imagine what stuff you and T came up with, you naughty girl you!
looking forward to this afternoon!
Oh, what a good idea to use that for your scrap room Bethany! If only I had any wall space left, i'd steal your idea, as I certainly need more storage!! And my room is not baby proofed at all!! Probably why my inkpads can usually be found all over the place ;-)
Hey! I saw on a blog somewhere...sometime...this toy holder dealie (technical term there) used for scrappin. Only they had used a spray paint for plastics on the tubs and made the whole thing browns and turquoise, I think it was. It was super awesome looking! Just one more thing to add to your "to do" list! =)
Anyway...it's a great idea to use one of those for your scrap stuff.
E looks SOOOOO big. And super, duper cute! Still looks a lot like C to me.
Smiles, D
