Trash-Talking at Church

I completely forgot to post yesterday! Nothing is new here. The dryer broke this morning, but luckily we were able to have it repaired this evening. I'm feeling very grateful for modern conveniences right now. I was picturing weeks of laundromat use and I'm glad that my imagination is just that, my imagination.

I haven't been creating too much these last few days. I'm taking a little break from the onslaught that was last week and (I'm a little embarrassed to admit) I'm reading the Twilight series. My sister, J, is totally crazy about them and I thought that I'd see what all the fuss is about. I've finished books 1 and 2 and currently about half way through book 3. I don't think that they are particularly well written novels, (I find myself often skimming the mushy stuff) but the plot is interesting and now I want to know what the protagonist's choice will be.

Yesterday evening, I played volleyball with some of the women at church and had a wonderful time. I'd forgotten how much my body loves to move and how much I enjoy sports. It was like a small dormant seed suddenly sprouted again in my bosom. I was a crazy person. I'm 7 months pregnant and I was blocking at the net like I was...well...not 7 months pregnant. My digging and hitting was sub-par, but I must admit I was pretty proud of my blocking. It was always my strong point when I played competitively and it felt good to stuff a few down. I was even trash-talking, in a kind, churchy way, but trashing nonetheless. It has certainly made me want to get back into shape again so that I don't feel so awkward. I'm excited for myself.

My daughter is a huge fan of the series and is now begging to read the new part released on the website--I forget what it's called.
