Cool New Discoveries

I thought that I'd dedicate this post to a few things that have really caught my eye lately.

Creative Imaginations Foil Kits and Stickies

Thanks to Scrap Friends, I discovered something wonderful. I can't say enough about this cool new product from Creative Imaginations. I won't go into too many details because I already wrote a review here.

I did the following projects with this cool product. (I actually have more, but I can't reveal them for a bit.)

A birthday card for my mother-in-law. I hope she got it already! If not, surprise!

Materials
Foil heart and adhesive: Creative Imaginations; chipboard K: Cosmo Cricket; Paper: My Mind’s Eye; flowers: Prima; bling: Fashion Jewels; definition: Hot Off the Press; embossing powder: Judikins; Mermaid Stamp: Cari Fennell for Bad Girls kits (in the August kit); thread

A layout for my cousin, Mary. These boots belong to her sweet daughter. Adorable. Someday I'll get this to you M! I foiled the buttons.

Materials
Paper: Luxe (bw circles), Scenic Route (graph); chipboard letters from Target; stamps: Luxe (hearts), Bam Pop (frame and unicorn); Faber-Castell pen; MM lace; Heidi Swapp dot mask; acrylic paint; fabric from Bad Girls swap; buttons: Foof-a-la; Creative Imaginations foil kit (on buttons)

And my most favorite project: a tag. I love this because I used "beach glass" found on one of our family excursions and an embroidered flower that was a cast-off from one of my mother's exquisite quilts. I love using found objects!

Materials
Foil and adhesive: Creative Imaginations; stamp: Judikins; Inks: Ranger tea dye, walnut stain, black soot; flower from my mother’s quilt scraps; words: Design Originals; vintage button from Bad Girls kits; beach glass found on a walk

Sassafras Lass Papers and Stamps

I recently discovered Sassafras Lass products when I ordered some sale packs from SIS
. I fell in love with them immediately. (I'm currently working on a layout that I'll share as soon as I complete it.) Their new lines are absolutely amazing. Retro, funky, just up my alley. And their stamps. Wow. Can't wait to actually have them in my hands! I know that Wendy will be ordering them for the store and I anxiously check each week to see if they've come in. Meanwhile, my credit card is smoldering.

Art Chix Free Classes

I am a sucker for free internet classes. I learn so much from each one that I take and these classes at Art Chix really rock my creative world. Just try not to be inspired!

Tinkering Ink Peekaboo Albums

Yep, another discover thanks to Scrap Friends. These albums are really cool. You can read my review here. They are the best of both album worlds: part acrylic, part chipboard. Very stimulating and sure to challenge you creatively.

NetFlix

No more going to the video store with 4 sweet, curious,
find-every-horror-DVD-and-ask-questions-about-it-
incessantly
children for me! We just joined NetFlix and so far, I LOVE it! I don't know why I waited so long! Did I mention that there are NO LATE FEES? Wow.

So so happy you got it!!! I was wondering when you were going to receive it! Can't wai to see what you will do with all the goodies you got! ;)
I completly forgot that we could put our names in the box but just saw it after that I didn't need to leave it anonymously... but once I got at the postal office, with all the paper work for customs, I had to put my name so I new that you would be able to trace me down!
Have a super day and take care!

Favorite line: "my credit card is smoldering"! LOL

I'm off to read your reviews and check out the free Internet classes. Love your tag and REALLY, REALLY love the boots layout (did you free-hand the awesome flourishes at the bottom of the picture--love those!).

You have to see the real card to truly appreciate it...and I do love it! I continue to be blown away by your creativity and ability to use random objects, tying them all together. Thanks so much for the BAK Creation-it is a keepsake.
