Blooming Birthday Girl

Today is D's birthday. I can't believe I already have a 7-year-old. Everyone told me when I became a mother that time flies. I didn't really believe them when D was tiny because those sleepless nights seemed to last forever, but now, looking back, I understand. Time really does fly. This year has been a great one for Miss D. She has just blossomed and I wanted to document that in a layout.

I did this for a contest at ScrapFriends. I used a lot of vintage bits (from a Bad Girls' swap) and some Basic Grey flower paper. I love how it looks like a lush garden. There is a lot of cutwork on this layout, but I think it was worth the time.

A few close-ups for you. Aren't those eyes gorgeous? Lucky girl.

Journaling: 2008 has been a year of marvelous growth for Danika.
