Home Grown Mini Album

I completed this album to replace the lost-in-the-mail gift album that I made at Christmas. I used the March IBSS kit. It came together very quickly. A few things that I'd like to point out are the odd bits that I used to embellish the ring that holds it all together. You can see a metal arrow, Prima flower, various ribbons and a few die-cut images.

A technique that I particularly like is to punch out small circles and adhere them (for a bit more stability) to the area of the paper that will get the most wear-and-tear. You can see my circles around the ringed area.

A technique that has made my mini-book crafting a lot more fun is transcending borders. I love it when pictures or embellishments go beyond the actual background paper. A mini-album is the perfect place to experiment with that because you don't need to put it in a page protector or an envelope.
