Closing, Teeth and Stitches

Our old house closed yesterday so we are now really officially moving! It has been a very busy few months full of anxiety and cleanliness, but it is almost over. We are just waiting on our loans to be completed and we are moving at the end of next week! The house is 84% packed thanks to N and M who came over yesterday. I don't know what I would have done without them. M helped me pack the entire garage while N took down the swingset and bunkbeds. We got more done in a few hours than I had gotten done this week. It was wonderful.

We've had a few health emergencies in the last few days too. It seems like the times that we are most busy, we need to fit in a trip to the Urgent Care. A few days ago, Mr. Moonie got 2 stitches near his eye after falling from the swingset (which is not taken down, but not for that reason.) He was a brave boy and was certainly beloved by the medical staff. And yesterday afternoon, monkey-girl Toodles was climbing on the outside of a tube slide, panicked and jumped down scraping her knee and hurting her back. Luckily, nothing was broken and she seems fine. As a mother, it was pretty scary seeing her screaming in the sand after falling. I thought for sure she had broken her leg. I don't think she'll do that again.

In the midst of all the medical emergencies, Sweetpea got her first loose tooth. She is so excited because most of her friends have already lost a few teeth and she was feeling very left out. I don't think she'll actually lose it for at least another month because she won't wiggle it, she eats like all of her teeth might fall out and doesn't let anyone else touch it. Sometimes, it's a little scary growing up, I remember.

Good luck on your move!! Hope all goes well! So sorry you had several emergencies in the midst of all that!

Glad to know your Sweetpea won't feel so left out anymore! How cute they are, when they think the worst whenever something happens! Haha! I remember my DD used to hold her ears like they would fall off after she had them pierced! =)
