Journaling: My desire to be a Fashionista is related to my personal SISterhood journey. Originally, I became a SISter only so I could view archived webisodes. I had no interest in uploading projects or chatting on the messageboards. The risk was too great. I was afraid of rejection. I didn’t have enough confidence. After four months of remaining tight in my bud, I took a deep breath and uploaded a few layouts. Praise followed. More uploading. More praise. The feeling was addicting. I scraplifted other artists until I discovered my own artistic voice. Someone added me to a favorites list. I called all my friends with the news. Pretty soon, I began uploading everything. I joined in a few conversations on the MBs. I was added to more favorites lists. I was mentioned on the Kitten Walk. I blossomed. Unexpectedly, this growing artistic confidence sneaked into other aspects of my life. I found that as I grew artistically, I grew personally. I began trusting my intuition as a woman, intellectual, wife, mother. A new feeling of personal fulfillment washed over me.
Fashionistas are not just talented artists they are also leaders and in turn, have a higher responsibility. During my SISterhood journey, I learned that art is a vehicle to self-discovery. I aspire to be a Fashionista because I want to help other women to define themselves by finding their inner artist. I want to help others find personal fulfillment So to answer your question, I want to be a Fashionista so I can empower women’s lives.Cardstock: BazzilPattern paper: Love, Elsie by KI Memories
