Well, I discovered the joy of Wii this week. My brothers and sisters introduced me to Wii tennis, DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and guitar hero. And I LOVE it! I didn't know how out-of-touch with teen culture I was until I visited. I had no idea about any of this! Sad, I know. I could tell you all about scrapbook manufacturers and whose paper is whose, what the storyline is for Dragon Tales, what new muppets are on Sesame Street, who writes the best blogs, where to buy art supplies, but I know nothing about Wii, PS3 or anything like that. It's pretty funny.
Okay, but here is the embarrassing part. While playing Wii tennis, I got a bit too enthusiastic and I had a small rotator-cuff injury for a few days. I couldn't believe it. I got injured playing a video game. Granted, I was really slamming that tennis ball, but it was a video game. I had to lay off for a few days so I could recover. Luckily, I think that I have. So tonight, I'm challenging my dad to our last Wii match. He's beaten me twice, but I feel like my mojo is flowing today and I'm gonna take that old man down, baby. And maybe, if I'm really feeling in-the-groove, I'll challenge my dancer-sister to some DDR action and maybe, just maybe, I won't fall on my hiney this time. I'm feeling good baby. I'm all over this.
