Pure

I did this layout last night and I really like how it turned out. The photo doesn't really do it justice. I used a bunch of stamps on this one. I was influenced by a sketch by Dawn Inskip, a fellow DT member at Scrap Shanty. Those butterflies in the background are a Heidi Swapp mask that I painted over, then doodled around to make them stand out better.

Journaling: “A baby is God’s opinion that the world should go on.” Carl Sandburg
Techniques: I used a punch to fake the look of torn-out spiral paper, doodled with mask.
Cardstock: Bazzil
Pattern paper: none
Stamps: Heidi Swapp wings and crown; SU! Script; Prima everything else
Stickers: Heidi Swapp tape;
Ink: Ranger black soot; StazOn jet black
Pens: micron
Ribbon: unknown
Rub-ons: Prima

Other: Heidi Swapp chipboard letters; Heidi Swapp butterfly mask; Prima flower, MM brads

I found out today what my first review is for Scrap Friends! I'm really excited and since it is a blog review, it will be posted right here. So you'll all get to read it! April is sending the package tomorrow so I'll be running to the mailbox every day for the next week.

Today Toodles had her Christmas presentation at preschool. It was really cute, but the poor kid had the sun in her eye the entire time. Most of my photos are of her with one hand over her left eye. Sweetpea has one more day of school until Christmas break so we are totally counting down the minutes. Very exciting. And I'm getting as excited as they are! It's a good thing that Big Man has his wits about him because we would have opened all the gifts already he he didn't stop us. Someone needs to be the responsible one around here, and it certainly isn't me when Christmas rolls around.
