Yesterday, I had a decision to make. It wasn't a grand decision or even a very important one, but I had to make a choice. And it was a difficult one because it was between two good things. One of those things involved very little risk. It was like diving off the low dive. The second thing involved a great deal of risk: like diving off the high dive. I knew that the outcome of either choice would be fine, but one was so much more exhilarating.
I chose the high dive. I may end up hitting the water on my back. It may hurt. Or I may end up pulling off a perfect swan dive. Either way, I'll be fine. But I'm in for the excitement.
Deep breath.
One step.
Two steps.
Three steps.
And jump.
