On Solid Foods

Yes, I'm now old enough to eat solid foods. I know that it is hard to believe. After all it seems like just yesterday I was born.

Stuff like bananas, rice cereal and pears are my favorite. (I haven't really tried anything else yet.)

But I can't just eat the food from a spoon because that is not how food is supposed to be consumed. I'm supposed to be sucking it up, right? That is why I always suck my thumb while I eat my special mush. It makes dinnertime so much more interactive.

Sometimes I'm so intent on sucking my thumb (rootbeer comes out of it, don't you know?) that I need a little reminder that I supposed to get nourishment from the spoon. So mom has to tap me on my cheek to get me to open up. Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't.

Yep, that's what I do.

Love that journaling, this is going to look awesome on a LO! Wish I had written stories like that when my kids were younger!

Oh My Goodness...he is growing up so fast! Those big brown eyes make me melt...I'm afraid he could get away with anything around me. Root beer...really? I think it is of note that he looks like sister Z and is a fan of the thumb as well. Miss you all too much!
