I've been doing a lot of soul-searching lately when it comes to my schedule. These last 6 months have been incredibly busy. Although I've enjoyed them immensely, I've come to the conclusion that I need to step back a bit. Therefore, I've decided not to renew my contract with ScrapFriends. It was a difficult decision because I enjoyed my time with them and I feel like I've grown as an artist because of opportunities that they've given me. Yet lately I haven't had time just to create for ME, which is really important to my personal happiness and growth. And so, I share my last review projects of Stampington papers and Clearly Impressed Stamps. You can read my review here.
My favorite project is this vase with paper flowers. I made the vase out of an old liquid soap dispenser. I glittered it to cover the letters.
The flowers are made of 4 hearts held together by adhering them to a circle in the back. The button adds interest and allows you to string the floral wire through for the stem. I've got a lot of alternate ideas based on this technique. I can't wait to work on them!
The second project is a little container for my scrap table. I love that little duck! And that vintage garland is just amazing stuff. Even my dogs like it. This is the second batch that I purchased, the first was torn to shreds when I was away. I guess it posed a security threat. Maybe it looked at the dogs funny, I don't know. I was pretty upset about the carnage, however.
And finally, I wrapped this fancy soap for a friend using the Stampington papers and a large button.
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas! We had a great day, although today was disappointing. My family and T's parents were scheduled to come for the weekend, but because of severe weather issues, neither of them was able to make it. The entire family is bummed. Me especially. So we had a family movie night to raise spirits and I spent some time with my new books and magazines which was inspirational and relaxing. I've got exciting projects swimming around in my head. I'm forcing myself to finish the ones that I'm working on right now before I start anything new, however. If I don't, Q will never have a Christmas stocking. I know, I know, shame on me for being late on this one. I feel awful and yet, here I am blogging...
Oh yeah, don't you just love those little feet in my new banner? It was a pretty crazy time taking that picture. The kids thought that I was certifiably insane. Especially D. And yet, I don't think I'm the only crazy one in the family. Just take a look at those feet on the right. What is that move?

Oh my, that feet photo seriously is sooo cute! And yes, that foot position on the right is pretty funky, lol. I love love your projects, especially the flower vase - gorgeous! Sounds like you are making the right decision about stepping down - it's so hard to find a balance b/w all of our different worlds!
So much cuteness!! Hope your Christmas was lovely Bethany! Happy New Year!!
