We went on a major family outing last week to see the Temple lights. We ate dinner at Cafe Rio then headed to the Temple. Here's a pic of the cool dude table. All the uncles and aunts sat there. C was at our table but deserted us for Uncle Dane. What can I say? He's a pretty cool dude. My brother Nate is holding Quinn. Their new baby boy is still gestating. (I'm so excited for them!)
Here's a pic of our table. We still have some cool people here too, we just aren't quite as exciting. Well, that isn't true, the two on the right are pretty exciting. It seems the left side of the table was in shock over the entire event.
Immediately upon parking at the Temple, D and Z declared that they needed to use the bathroom right away. So I packed Q in the pouch (who was also declaring that he needed to eat right away) and ran them to the visitor's center. I found out that the bathrooms in the visitor's center were closed so we ran to the East parking lot to use the state-of-the-art trailer toilets. When they finished, I dropped them off with the group and fed Q in the open-but-closed-visitor-center bathrooms. (I found out that salacious secret a bit too late for the girls.) When I had finished, I found the group and discovered that D and C needed to use the bathroom again. So I made another trip here.
I got quite a few weird looks when I snapped this pic, let me tell you...
Then it was about time to leave so I took one last picture of the kiddos. It just captures the evening of reverence and holiness.
Overall, I declare the evening a success. The kids enjoyed themselves and felt the spirit of Christmas. I enjoyed myself too, in a different kinda way. More of a life-is-humorous-so-might-as-well-laugh kinda way.
