It's the final countdown as I'm in the last few days of pregnancy and gearing up for my induction on Tuesday morning. My mom flies in on Sunday afternoon to care for the other sweeties while I'm occupied by...ummm...labor. I'm so excited to meet this little man. I can't wait to hold him and see what color his eyes are and touch his soft skin. One thing that I love about being a mother multiple times is that birth seems to become more magical. I pretty much know the procedure so I'm not so anxious about that aspect. Of course, I'm still nervous, as all women are, but I know that the outcome is so amazing that getting there is worth it. Plus, I don't doubt my ability to care for a newborn as I did with the first few. I remember with E (#4), I was much more relaxed and enjoyed her babyhood a lot more simply because I was confident in my own abilities. I was able to live in the moment more with her than I had with the others.
The kids have fully recovered from their pestilence, but T is still fighting disease. He's doing a lot better thanks to my physician father's quick phone diagnosis and treatment. What a blessing it is for our family to have a world famous doctor dad! I'm so glad that he's feeling better. I seriously couldn't ask for a better patient as he is grateful for everything I do. (Unlike me, who is whiney and moany and crabby when sick. Or uncomfortable in any way.) But, I hate hearing him cough and I feel bad for him when he comes home completely exhausted. Crossed fingers that he is fully recovered by Sunday!
The house is a wreck as I struggle with bending down and picking up things. Okay, okay, I won't lie, I struggle with cleaning in general right now and would much rather be in my studio fiddling with my paper. So that is the real reason why the cleaning hasn't gotten done. That and I've been very busy caring for sickies and finishing Halloween costumes and reading. Sometimes cleaning and cooking just aren't priorities and that's the way it goes. (As far as I can tell, the sun is still shining and the world hasn't stopped!)
I did manage to make some cookies the other day. They were delish and I think I ate at least 10 a day for 3 days straight. (I'm going to need my energy for labor. Ummm...yeah, that's right...energy...)
I've also been deep in Luxe goodness as I complete my November DT assignments. I am totally in love with my projects! It is awesome when something turns out even better than I planned. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's a rush when it does. I've got to take advantage of this groove because I know once the baby is born, I'll go though a dry, exhausted spell when creating will be as difficult as getting a good night's sleep.
I'm expecting my next Bad Girls package either today or tomorrow. (Please, today?) The deadline is really tight (due to the baby's immenent arrival) but I've got some great ideas so hopefully he'll stay put until I complete my assignments. (More crossed fingers.)
I know this was a pretty fact-based post, but for some reason, that's how I'm feeling today. Very serious and down to business. It is probably because I've got so much on my mind. I've become robotic.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

Wishing you all the best with the delivery of your little one!
Hope everyone is feeling better real soon. And that you finish your BG assignments in time.
Good luck with your upcoming labour. I can't wait to see pictures of your new bundle. You always take such amazing photos. I also can't wait to see how you scrap those future amazing photos!
I'm getting so excited to see your little one! :)
It was a treat to meet your mother today.
PLEASE don't hesitate to tell me what I can do to help you most since I have found that every woman needs and wants different things after baby comes...if you want me to come hang over a lot I can do that or vice versa! If you need chocolate I can bring it...if you need someone to watch the older kids while you get a nap I can do that too...I guess you get the picture! :) lol
