Bedroom Changes

This weekend has been quite the busy one. Two of the kids switched rooms and got new beds on Saturday: C moved into the now-defunct toy room (with bunk beds) and E moved into C's old room (with a twin bed). E's old room (with crib) will now be the new baby's room. I'm still not done moving everyone's clothes around and arranging the toys, but at least bed-wise everyone has a special spot. Whew. Needless to say, I'm pretty tired and my body is pretty sore from all the bending, sorting and moving about. I seriously overdid it this weekend and I'm paying for it. Unfortunately, this week's activities won't lend toward much rest.

E slept in her new special bed for the first time tonight and it was so weird to see her there. After I checked to make sure that she was snoozing away, I walked to her old room and saw the empty crib. And I cried. As I type, I'm still teary. I get all blubbery over all those small milestones. Weaning, growing into a big bed, going to preschool, going to kindergarten, losing teeth. My babies are growing up. I'm so proud of them.

How is that I can have 2 or 3 days in a row of not seeing you and it seems like a lifetime?! I wish I could have had more time to chat with you at church today...

Is bedtime going OK? Is E staying in her bed for you? I'm excited that I will be her new nursery leader in a couple of weeks!
