Acrylic Paint and Foam Stamps

In another post, I told you how I am taking a class on acrylic paint at Scrap Friends. I just completed my first assignment: make a title block using foam stamps and paint and then use it on a layout. I thought that perhaps you'd be interested in a little tutorial on what I did.

I used Making Memory foam stamps and acrylic paint. I painted the paint onto the stamp using a brush.

Then, I outlined my stamps using my Faber-Castell black pen. I love how this looks.

Next, I cut out each letter, but I left the white space in the O and the R.

I adhered to my layout and added stripes to the white spaces to tie in my title with the pattern paper.

And here is the whole layout. I used a Z shirt as inspiration and the pictures are from Issa. She won a layout designed my me in a challenge at IBSS. Congratulations!

Techniques: painting, stamping
Cardstock: Bazzil
Pattern paper: Love, Elsie
Stamps: MM foam letters (color); The Missing Link Stamp Company (me happy)
Ink: StazOn black
Pens: Faber-Castell
Buttons: Cosmo Cricket chipboard star button

Other: Basic Grey star; Ranger Grungeboard star, stickles, acrylic paint, silver stars from Big Lots

It's such a happy layout! I have zero time for scrapbooking (well, I suppose I have time--but I use it blogging, sleeping, and cleaning!)...anyway, I am storing up all sorts of grand ideas from you that I am going to use soon :)
