Oh Happy Day!

Here are a few cards that I made recently using the March IBSS kit. The first one is very simple, but I love the color combination.

The next one was for Big Man on Valentine's Day. I love how it turned out. I used a Ranger Distress Ink pad and craft foam to do the grass. The people are a transparency from a class kit that I didn't use.

Today has been such a wonderful day. Nothing exciting has happened, I just feel so energetic and happy. I stayed up WAY too late last night working on a few layouts and I woke up feeling so refreshed. I think that I need to do that more often. The house was so quiet and lovely. Plus, the layouts that I completed last night are creatively very exciting to me. I challenged myself to combine seemingly disparate styles into one cohesive whole. I think that I've pulled it off. I'll let you be the judge, however. A few of them cannot be posted until April, but I'll post one tomorrow that I did for a challenge at Scrap Shanty.

I think that another reason for my happiness is because I finally made a decision that has been haunting me for a few weeks. It was one of those choices between two very good paths. I find those types of decisions to be the most difficult. It is relatively simple to choose between good and evil, but very trying to choose between good and good. This weekend, I finally took my path and I'm sure that I made the right decision. I know that I let some good friends down which is probably the most painful part of the entire thing, as it always is.

Bethany, you are so funny. I love reading your blog, the way you speak reminds me SO much of a childhood friend and it brings me back to those days. I feel like I know you because of it. Besides that, I also love your style. You are so talented, you have a style all your own and it's wonderful!
I also love that you have 4 kids....I'm so jealous. Do you really think you'll have 8?

Those are awesome cards, Bethany!! Love them both! I also love how you did the grass on the 2nd card with distress ink!

I'm sure you've made the right decision! It's just unfortunate that some people are hurt along the way :(
