Kodomo Dessert Flourishes

Here are a few layouts that I did for a Scrap Friends review of Kodomo stamps. These are currently my favorite designs. They came together like a breeze. All the cut work on the second layout took a bit of time, but I saw the paper and just knew what I needed to do. There was no creative struggle. (And sometimes there is!) It was like the layout made itself and I was merely the one placing things. It was my first time working with Kodomo Stamps as well as Luxe pattern paper and it was a great combination!

Journaling: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” Dr. Seuss
Cardstock: Bazzil
Pattern paper: Luxe
Stamps: Kodomo
Pens: Signo Uniball; Faber Castell
Buttons: Dress it Up

Other: acrylic paint; Prima flowers; Heidi Swapp chipboard letters

We don't get a lot of rain in Arizona and Snukie was fascinated by it a few months ago, but the pictures I took didn't show the water droplets so the effect was somewhat lost. You can imagine my excitement when I received a rain drop stamp and was able to add the rain manually!

Journaling: Lyssie was just enthralled by her first encounter with rain. She just kept trying to catch the drops. So sweet. 1.08
Cardstock: Bazzil
Pattern paper: Luxe
Stamps: Kodomo
Ink: Ranger; StazOn
Pens: Signo Uniball; Faber-Castell
Rub-ons: MM

Other: Heidi Swapp chipboard letters; Stickles; gaffer tape and felt cloud from www.scrapinstyletv.com, popdots (thanks Megan!)

I also have two newsie things to share. I just found out that I won a flourishes contest at Becky Chabot's blog! My prize is a set of flourish stamps that is really awesome so I can't wait to get that package in the mail! A sneak peek of my first stamp can be found here. It looks so fab the way Jen colored it. I can't wait to see the full reveal tomorrow! Very exciting!

Beth, they are both beautiful layouts, but the 2nd one is my favorite! I love the way you cut the paper and the placement of it, so creative!! Every time I read your blog I am inspired.
