Art and Potential
I am continually amazed at how the world works. It seems that when I set a clear goal, something that speaks to my heart, whatever it may be, the universe seems conspire for its realization. I've been trying to become a professional designer and thus far have not had too much success, but the learning curve is absolutely incredible. My style has improved so dramatically I can hardly believe it, my applications have been refined and I just learned about how to present my work from www.monalisamoments.typepad.com. It is amazing how I came across this tutorial. I applied for the Cornish Heritage Farms DT and was rejected. But instead of not contacting me at all (which I've found is the typical route of rejection), Liz Pomeroy wrote me a personal letter of encouragement. I wrote her back thanking her and she wrote me again giving me the link. Talk about a very cool woman and a very cool company. And when I was not accepted for another DT, the owner, Lisa, told me what I needed to do to be more competitive. I know that was hard for her to do. But it was so extremely helpful. You know, that is what this art thing is all about. Supporting each other in realizing our potential. Isn't that was life is all about too? Wow. As I put out another very big, very unlikely that I'll land it, DT application, be thinking artistic prayers for me and I'll send out positive thoughts to you, wherever you are.

Bethany, I am not sure how I came across this old post, but I just want you to know that I appreciate your words so very much. Thank you, thank you. Lisa
